Inside the game
Luis Lopez balances nightclub management with dangerous work for Tony Prince. This GTA IV story expansion explores the city’s nightlife and intersects with the other Liberty City stories.
Setting: Liberty City. Original announced platforms: Xbox 360.
This entry distinguishes the HD universe from the other GTA continuities. Shared city names do not establish a shared narrative timeline.
The date above refers to the original release year. Subsequent ports, remasters and editions can differ in controls, features and available music.
Behind the nightclub doors
Luis Lopez works with nightclub owner Tony Prince. Their businesses place them among wealthy clients, criminals and people who regard a public image as a form of currency. Keeping the clubs running is inseparable from managing Tony’s debts and unstable relationships.
Luis has his own ties to family and friends beyond the nightlife scene. That contrast gives the protagonist more than a role as Tony’s troubleshooter: the demands of the business compete with a life that exists outside it.
A more extravagant Liberty City
The episode embraces helicopters, parachuting, high-profile set pieces and a wider range of explosive equipment. These features shift the tone from the base game’s grounded street-level encounters toward spectacle without moving to a different city.
Mission scoring encourages revisiting assignments to improve performance. Finishing a mission and meeting all of its optional score conditions are separate achievements. A replay-oriented approach can be more effective than repeatedly abandoning the first completion in pursuit of a perfect result.
Connections and editions
Story intersections with Niko and Johnny help complete the HD Liberty City picture, but Luis remains the focus of this campaign. Together with The Lost and Damned, the episode was bundled as Episodes from Liberty City. It should be listed as a story expansion, not as the next numbered mainline GTA.
