The briefing
Broker, Dukes, Bohan and Algonquin form GTA IV’s core metropolis, with neighboring Alderney expanding the playable region.
Niko’s arrival in Broker makes the city feel local before the story expands. Bridges and travel restrictions connect geographic access to progress. The city’s density creates a different rhythm from the long rural routes of GTA V.
The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony revisit the same HD world from different social circles. Chinatown Wars uses a stylized overhead interpretation, while GTA III’s similarly named city belongs to a separate continuity.
