The briefing
The PC editions have different hardware requirements. Legacy is the original PC version released April 15, 2015. Enhanced arrived March 4, 2025, adding newer graphics features and GTA Online systems. A machine that runs Legacy comfortably should still be checked against the separate Enhanced specification.
The Enhanced feature set includes ray-traced ambient occlusion and global illumination alongside shadows and reflections. The source lists a GTX 1630 or Radeon RX 6400 with 4GB VRAM among minimum graphics options, and an RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT with 8GB VRAM in its recommended tier. The storage listing reaches 105GB and identifies a DirectStorage-compatible drive in the recommended configuration.
Use the complete requirements by edition below, considering processor, memory, operating system and storage together. A graphics card comparison alone does not establish expected frame rate. Enhanced also adds supported Online features such as Career Progress and GTA+, so the edition choice affects more than visual settings.
