The briefing
Use the individual database records alongside this guide to check the relevant edition, prerequisites and completion targets. A location, vehicle or activity can have different conditions in Story Mode and GTA Online.
Fort Zancudo lies beside the western wetlands, southwest of Mount Josiah and south of North Chumash. The base contains military aircraft and vehicles, but entering it without authorization in Story Mode triggers a strong wanted response.
Access rules differ in GTA Online, where owning a Fort Zancudo hangar changes the owner’s permission to enter the base. That permission is not an unlimited exemption from consequences for attacking personnel or stealing equipment. Separate an ordinary visit, a vehicle theft and a mission involving the base when planning a route. The location map identifies the perimeter; it does not imply that every gate or aircraft is safe to approach under the same circumstances.
