The briefing
Published 9 July 2013. This archival report describes the announcement and offers of that period; temporary rewards do not remain active indefinitely.
The July 9, 2013 gameplay presentation was GTA V’s first official extended look at play rather than only a cinematic trailer. An external narrator explained the world, activities, missions and switching between the protagonists, with a brief multiplayer tease at the end.
Its value as an archive item is the way it introduces the game’s structure before release. The video shows how Los Santos exploration, recreational activities and planned robberies fit around three separate characters. It is promotional footage, so it should be distinguished from a complete walkthrough or a performance comparison. Watch the sequence alongside the later character trailers and launch material to see how Rockstar explained GTA V’s central switching mechanic before players could try the finished campaign.
