The three April 30, 2013 trailers gave Michael, Franklin and Trevor separate introductions. Presenting each protagonist in his own sequence made their backgrounds, routines and tone easier to distinguish before showing how their lives collide in the campaign.
Michael’s wealth and domestic dissatisfaction contrast with Franklin’s search for better opportunities and Trevor’s volatile life in Blaine County. The trailers are therefore useful character introductions as well as promotional videos. They do not replace the detailed biographies or establish every event in chronological order. Watch them as three perspectives on the same game, then compare the shared cast and mission records to follow the relationships and heists that eventually bring the protagonists together.
