The briefing

The September 12, 2014 announcement scheduled GTA V for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18. It initially set January 27, 2015 for PC; that PC target was subsequently revised, so it belongs to the announcement chronology rather than the final launch record.

The proposed enhancements included longer draw distances, higher-resolution presentation, additional wildlife, new foliage and revised weather and damage effects. Radio expansion was also part of the package, with more than 100 additional songs and new mixes across the existing stations.

These additions described the move from the original console releases. Later platform versions introduced further changes, and a comparison should identify which generation’s features are being discussed.
