A Safehouse in the Hills launched December 10, 2025 as Title Update 1.72. Its central addition is Mansion ownership, giving players a new luxury property category and associated services. Michael De Santa’s arrival in GTA Online connects that property-focused expansion with a familiar story-mode character.
The update also adds missions involving autonomous surveillance, a new collection of vehicles and the Rockstar Mission Creator. Property amenities and mission access are different parts of the package: purchasing a residence does not mean every vehicle or optional upgrade is included in its base price.
Use the Mansion location and upgrade tables to compare the total investment, then follow the relevant mission start requirements. The release supports the platforms listed in the update record, but feature availability may still vary by edition. This article separates the permanent December content from earlier VIP promotions and temporary launch-period benefits.
