The July 8 report previewed the forthcoming car-culture update while adding seven Survival maps to the game’s existing activities. The two subjects had different timing: the Survival additions were playable, whereas the Los Santos Car Meet screenshot introduced content still to come.
That distinction matters in a dated news archive. A teaser image can establish a location or theme without confirming all of its eventual features, price or progression. Meanwhile a Survival map is a wave-based combat job, so it belongs to a different activity type from a race or social meeting space. The event’s reward and vehicle rotation accompanied both announcements but did not make the future summer update available early.
