The briefing
On June 1, 2023, this article reported Tez2’s claim that GTA Online’s summer update was scheduled for June 13. The claim explicitly allowed for a date change. At that stage, an insider report and Rockstar’s own formal announcement were different evidence sources.
The article connected the proposed date with a changed GTA+ event-end listing and the absence of an expected reminder. Those clues were interpretation of the rollout, not a confirmed update name or content list.
Rockstar’s subsequent San Andreas Mercenaries announcement established the June 13 release publicly. Keeping the original report’s uncertainty visible explains how the news developed without treating every earlier clue as an official promise. The useful historical distinction is the sequence: insider date report, formal reveal, then the playable release.
