GTA V combines licensed radio recordings with an original score and music created for the project. This selection concentrates on game-associated tracks, including Old Love / New Love, Smokin’ and Ridin’, Sleepwalking and Welcome to Los Santos, rather than ranking every song on the complete radio playlist.
The distinction matters because music can serve different roles: a radio track gives the player a soundtrack while driving, while a mission score responds to the action and a trailer song supports promotional editing. A favorite list is an editorial choice, not a measurement of which track is most important to the story. The archive preserves artist and track identifications while avoiding lyric reproduction, and the station records provide the broader listening context.
