The briefing
On January 13, 2015, Rockstar announced March 24 as the then-planned PC release date and published initial PC screenshots and system requirements. The schedule was revised again later; this article records the January announcement.
The proposed PC feature set included 30-player GTA Online sessions, Online Heists at launch, graphics options extending to 4K and multi-monitor support, and the new Rockstar Editor. The 1080p and 60 fps presentation described the platform’s capabilities, not a guarantee for every system.
Match the minimum and recommended specifications to this original PC edition. They are different from later PC Enhanced requirements. The date, hardware targets and creative tools together explain what players were being promised at that stage of the rollout.
