In September 2021, Rockstar moved the PS5 and Xbox Series edition to March 2022, describing additional time for refinement. The accompanying trailer showed the next console release while leaving its final day and detailed mode specifications for later announcements.
The report also preserved the PlayStation promotions operating around that schedule. PS Plus members could claim the monthly GTA$1 million benefit in the PS4 version, and the standalone PS5 Online product was planned as a free claim for its first three months. Those were dated offers with specific platforms and products. They should not be read as an indefinitely free complete edition of GTA V, nor as the release schedule that had been announced before this delay.
