The briefing
The August 2018 report recorded GTA V at the top of the PlayStation Store’s July PS4 downloads chart. It described a particular monthly store ranking, alongside contemporary reporting about the game’s continuing sales.
A download chart is different from worldwide unit sales or revenue. The source also discussed After Hours and the Stone Hatchet promotion as possible contributors to renewed attention, but those suggestions were not a measured explanation of the chart result. This entry preserves the dated ranking without presenting it as a current sales position.
