The briefing
Published 7 July 2022. This archival report describes the announcement and offers of that period; temporary rewards do not remain active indefinitely.
The July community update outlined changes to GTA Online’s economy and business routines. Planned measures included adjustments to the Oppressor Mk II, higher payouts for selected activities and the ability to sell business inventory in invite-only sessions.
These changes were significant because they altered familiar activities rather than simply adding another expensive purchase. Private sales offered more control over a session, and revised rewards affected the balance between older missions and newer heists. The report also discussed Rockstar’s development priorities and the next Grand Theft Auto. Keep those statements tied to their 2022 date: they describe the plans communicated at that time, while the subsequent Criminal Enterprises release supplies the record of the Online changes that actually shipped.
