In an August 2018 interview discussed by the source, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick indicated that GTA Online still had further content planned. The report appeared after After Hours and shortly before GTA V’s fifth anniversary.
The statement addressed the game’s ongoing support at that time. It did not give a named future update, a schedule or a promise about a particular mechanic. After Hours was the immediate context because its nightclubs had recently expanded the game’s business systems.
