The briefing
On November 8, 2023 Rockstar marked its twenty-fifth anniversary by saying the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto would arrive in early December. The announcement followed the earlier confirmation that development was underway.
It did not yet publish a launch day or the full product title in that post. The subsequent teaser and trailer supplied more concrete information. The dated sequence matters because announcing a trailer, revealing a game and setting its release date are distinct events.
