The briefing
Rockstar published the first trailer on December 4, 2023 after an unauthorized copy appeared ahead of its planned premiere. The reveal named Grand Theft Auto VI, introduced Leonida and Vice City, and announced PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with a 2025 window.
The trailer’s soundtrack is Tom Petty’s Love Is a Long Road. Its original date window was later superseded, while the setting and console announcement remain part of the game’s established introduction. The video guide links the publisher’s original upload.
