Game Informer’s public wildlife feature reports that GTA VI includes more than 170 animal species. The figure comes from the preview, rather than an independent animal census performed by this archive.
The official image collection supplies a complementary view of the world: wetlands, marine environments and wooded mountain country host very different scenes. The combination is more informative than treating the headline number as a complete bestiary.
Scale and identification answer different questions
A reported total describes scope. It does not identify every creature, its behavior or the exact place to find it. A reliable wildlife guide needs those details to remain separate and should use direct visual or gameplay evidence for each individual record.
