Preparation: this follows the short setup with Salvatore and requires money for 8-Ball’s explosives. Save before committing to the operation. The key resource during the assault is a clear view of 8-Ball, not a fast car or a large collection of weapons. Once the shooting starts, an exposed ally must be protected while moving through hostile territory.
Walkthrough: drive 8-Ball to Portland Harbor and use the nearby stairs to reach the elevated firing position. Locate the guards and the route onto the ship before taking the first shot. Beginning the attack sends 8-Ball forward, so avoid spending the opening seconds searching blindly through the scope. Work methodically through guards who can threaten his path, adjusting your view as he advances. Do not shoot toward your ally when he crosses a target’s position.
Story spoilers — reveal narrative details
8-Ball reaches the ship and plants the explosives, destroying the floating drug operation. The operation leads into Salvatore’s final assignment, Last Requests. Before progressing to that mission, check whether Luigi, Joey or Toni still have unfinished jobs. A successful harbor raid does not mean every earlier Portland mission has been completed, and that distinction matters to a 100% run.
