The briefing
Preparation: finish outstanding work for Luigi, Joey and Toni before accepting Salvatore’s assignment. Their remaining missions become unavailable as this chapter closes, which matters for a complete save. Keep a separate manual save so that a mistaken mission order does not force an entire restart. This is a progression warning rather than a difficult combat challenge.
Walkthrough: Salvatore directs Claude toward a car near Luigi’s club. Watch the pager while approaching: Maria changes the objective and warns that the vehicle is a trap. Do not enter it. Follow the new marker to Callahan Point, meet Maria and Asuka, and take the boat to the marked landing on Staunton Island. Approach the destination slowly so a collision does not damage the boat unnecessarily.
Story spoilers — reveal narrative details
Salvatore has decided to eliminate Claude. Maria’s intervention introduces a new alliance with Asuka and the Yakuza, while the boat journey marks the transition to the next district. Staunton Island and its safehouse become available after completion. Portland remains visitable, but the political situation there has changed. Treat the old neighborhood as a place to revisit carefully rather than assuming earlier relationships still protect Claude.
