The official premise
Rockstar presents Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as the central pair. Their situation worsens after an apparently straightforward criminal opportunity leads into a conspiracy spanning Leonida. The relationship between the two protagonists is part of the revealed premise, while the complete playable story remains unreleased.
Vice City returns as part of the state of Leonida. The familiar name does not make this the same fictional continuity as Tommy Vercetti’s 1986 story. The announced world belongs to the HD-era interpretation of the franchise.
Release and platforms
The official GTA VI website lists November 19, 2026 and names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The archive countdown uses midnight UTC of that calendar date as a consistent reference point. It does not claim an exact regional unlock time.
A PC date should only appear after an official announcement. The existence of PC editions for earlier GTA games is not confirmation of a particular release schedule for this one. Check the linked Rockstar listing for current availability and announcements.
How to read pre-release coverage
Official character descriptions, named locations and published trailers can support reference entries. A recognizable vehicle in a screenshot can establish a visual appearance without proving a purchase price, handling model or acquisition mission. The level of certainty needs to stay attached to the claim.
Trailer analysis is useful when it describes what is actually visible and labels interpretation. It is not a substitute for a finished mission guide or a tested gameplay database. Post-launch coverage should replace open questions with observed, version-specific information rather than preserving old speculation as fact.
