The briefing
CJ handles the motorcycle while Big Smoke shoots at Vagos riding on a train. That division of responsibility is the central mechanic: being very close to the locomotive does not necessarily give Smoke a clear shot at its roof. Think about line of sight and consistent positioning rather than simply keeping the bike attached to the train’s side.
Walkthrough: take Smoke to Unity Station, then pursue the departing train on the Sanchez. Ride to the train’s right with enough lateral space for Smoke to aim upward. Match speed and hold a stable line when he has a target. Watch ahead for obstacles and oncoming rail traffic; a collision can remove much of the available shooting time even when CJ survives. Use gentle steering corrections after a bump instead of veering back underneath the train. If an attempt fails, adjust the distance from the train before trying a completely different shortcut.
Story spoilers — reveal narrative details
eliminate the rooftop targets before the train escapes the playable pursuit route, then take Smoke home. The mission continues his early Los Santos strand and reinforces CJ’s role as the driver in an uneasy partnership. It is not necessary to perform a stunt onto the roof to follow the intended mission. A reliable ground-level chase is easier to repeat than a risky jump.
